Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually

hirify.global designs and integrates primary and secondary flight control actuation systems for military and commercial aircraft, including the F-35 Lightning II and V280 Valor.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, and administer quality programs that meet contractual and customer requirements.
• Support production, manufacturing, assembly, and testing through quality engineering studies and technical recommendations.
• Perform failure analysis, root-cause and corrective-action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, configuration control, and traceability activities.
• Develop quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly and test processes, and final inspection.
• Support customer and government interfaces, audits, FAA and DCMA initiatives, and related requirements.
• Use statistical analysis and problem-solving to optimize inspection costs and prevent failures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• At least 2 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrance, California.
• Integrity and confidence to identify and escalate quality problems.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of quality engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience with AS9100 standards and government or customer audits.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical, and hydromechanical components, manufacturing assembly, and functional testing.
• Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, word-processing, and database software.
• ASQ certification.
