Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States — Building 5. Five-day onsite workweek.

What you will do

• Own manufacturing engineering activities for assigned production areas, including troubleshooting, process documentation, manufacturing readiness, engineering studies, tooling, and process improvements.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives using 5S, waste identification, process mapping, and structured problem solving.
• Partner with production associates and cross-functional teams to resolve issues affecting safety, quality, throughput, delivery, cost, and efficiency.
• Develop and control manufacturing procedures, work instructions, standard work, parameter databases, and related documentation.
• Plan and execute engineering studies, DOE, engineering builds, testing, pre-production builds, and production-readiness reviews.
• Support tooling, fixtures, automation, equipment improvements, NCR disposition, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least three years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a hands-on production environment.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or process issues and applying structured root-cause and corrective-action methods.
• Experience developing or controlling manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions, standard work, or production documentation.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing data, work effectively on the production floor, manage priorities, and communicate across functions.
• Only U.S. citizens are eligible for employment due to U.S. Government contract requirements; the role is also subject to U.S. export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, energetic-device, semiconductor, medical-device, or another regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, PFMEA, DOE, process mapping, 5 Why, fishbone analysis, tooling, fixtures, automation, or production launch support.
• Experience with engineering work orders, document control, change processes, manufacturing parameter databases, and production-readiness systems.
