Platform Engineer II

Salary: $118,000–$151,000 annually

What you will do

• Contribute to building and improving platform services, writing code, and supporting deployments.
• Design and implement solutions to improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
• Maintain and operate core systems including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring.
• Participate in incident response and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate needs into practical platform solutions.
• Take ownership of tasks and projects while developing towards larger platform areas.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider.
• Experience contributing to the operation of production systems in a distributed or cloud environment.
• Familiarity with security best practices and automation tools.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of Datadog, RabbitMQ, Terraform, and PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to multi-team environments or shared platform services.
• Interest in data-focused systems like analytics, telemetry, or IoT.
