What you will do

• Own the enterprise SOX business process control framework, including scoping, risk assessment, and control design.
• Drive timely remediation of control deficiencies and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Controllership, FP&A, Tax, and Legal to embed effective controls into core processes.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of SOX documentation, including narratives, risk-control matrices, and walkthroughs.
• Act as a strategic advisor on business transformation initiatives such as new systems, revenue streams, and M&A.
• Drive automation and efficiency across the internal audit and compliance program.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States or Canada
• 5+ years of experience in internal audit and SOX compliance, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or CISA.
• Strong knowledge of COSO frameworks and SOX compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to oversee consultants and external audit firms.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate findings to senior leadership.
