What you will do
- Manage insured and self-insured claims end-to-end (from reporting through closure) across property, casualty, auto liability, general liability, workers' compensation, freight, and related lines.
- Supervise the Risk Management (Claims) Analyst, including guidance, workload management, training, and performance oversight.
- Act as the primary corporate claims representative, partnering with insurers, TPAs, brokers, and legal counsel to drive claim strategy and service delivery.
- Represent the company in mediations and other claim/legal proceedings (virtual and in-person), including settlement conferences and depositions.
- Investigate significant losses, analyze documentation to identify root causes and recovery opportunities, and support subrogation when applicable.
- Maintain accurate claim records in Origami and build reports/dashboards to monitor trends, loss drivers, and emerging exposures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience adjusting commercial claims (General Liability, Auto Liability, Freight, Workers' Compensation).
- Ability to read and interpret insurance policies.
- Strong negotiation, communication (verbal/written), and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage private, sensitive, confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to travel 0%β25%.
