Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager (Fiber Infrastructure)

Location: Remote, California, United States; driving to utility and infrastructure job sites is required as part of normal project duties.

Salary: $92,880–$154,800 USD gross base pay annually.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end utility-scale ISP/OSP fiber infrastructure projects, delivering within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage fiber construction activities including trenching, conduit, vaults, splicing, and aerial or underground builds.
• Review HLDs, LLDs, splice diagrams, redlines, as-builts, and other engineering documentation.
• Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and deployment strategies.
• Coordinate technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders while managing communications, reporting, risks, and issues.
• Conduct site visits, validate field conditions, and mentor junior project managers and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience managing complex fiber infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in utility-grade OSP/ISP fiber construction, including aerial and underground builds and permitting.
• Strong knowledge of waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, track metrics, mitigate risks, and work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility or energy sector projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master or SAFe.
