Senior IS Technical Project Manager (IT)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $130,930–$140,230 per year

What you will do

• Lead highly complex, high-profile IT projects spanning multiple divisions, departments, and external partners.
• Translate strategic initiatives and business needs into detailed project plans, technical solutions, and measurable outcomes.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets exceeding $1M, resources, risks, quality, and portfolio impact.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, vendor selection, implementation, testing, training, and project closeout.
• Partner with engineering, development, business analysis, institute leadership, and external vendor teams on technical decisions and feasibility assessments.
• Coach and mentor project teams while driving adoption and continuous improvement of PMO tools, templates, and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ten years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility, including at least six years in project management or comparable roles.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PGMP) certification, with an expectation to maintain the credential.
• Experience applying IT concepts across application development and support, networking, system integration, and information security.
• Expertise with SDLC, project management software and templates, scheduling solutions such as MS Project, and formal methodologies including waterfall, spiral, agile, lean, and DMAIC.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, communication, leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
