TL;DR

Chief of Staff (Strategy & Operations): Serving as a strategic partner to the CEO to drive company strategy, operational execution, and cross-functional alignment. Focus on translating executive priorities into actionable plans, improving organizational efficiency, and ensuring accountability across all departments.

Location: Must be based in South Africa or Kenya. Working hours: Must align with U.S. Business Hours.

What you will do

  • Partner with the CEO to define and execute company strategy and translate priorities into actionable plans.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects from planning through completion.
  • Prepare executive briefings, board meeting materials, and performance reports.
  • Improve internal systems, workflows, and operational procedures to increase scalability.
  • Facilitate communication across leadership and departments to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Monitor KPIs and business metrics to provide visibility into organizational performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Chief of Staff, Strategy, Business Operations, or Management Consulting roles.
  • Proven track record of working directly with CEOs, founders, or executive leadership teams.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Notion) and business reporting platforms.
  • Must be available to work during U.S. Business Hours.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Experience in high-growth startups, technology companies, or top-tier consulting firms.
  • Background in supporting board-level reporting and organizational change initiatives.
