What you will do

• Review first- and third-party policies regarding additional insured and contractual indemnity provisions.
• Provide legal advice to claims associates on coverage tenders and risk transfer assessments.
• Draft and litigate declaratory judgment actions and recovery lawsuits.
• Manage disputes over the duty to defend and indemnify.
• Collaborate with underwriting partners and outside counsel to advance risk transfer objectives.
• Prepare coverage-related white papers and quarterly reports for Claims Management.

Requirements

• J.D. Degree and active license to practice law in at least one US state.
• 4 to 8 years of recent coverage practice experience in a law firm or with an insurer.
• US Work Authorization required (no visa sponsorship).
• Deep understanding of risk transfer, contractual interpretation, and priority of coverage.
• Experience litigating and drafting lawsuits.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
