Location: Must be based in or able to work from Denver, CO or Oakland, CA offices (Hybrid: 2 days/week in-office)

Salary: $175,214 — $210,265.50 USD

What you will do

• Develop and implement global compliance policies regarding ethics, export control, and anti-corruption.
• Provide practical employment law advice on hiring, performance management, leaves, and terminations.
• Manage employment-related claims, administrative charges, and various commercial or IP disputes.
• Conduct internal investigations and oversee compliance training programs.
• Collaborate with the People Team and business partners to balance risk management with business objectives.
• Manage outside counsel, legal budgets, and e-discovery processes.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law.
• 5+ years of legal experience with significant compliance, employment, or litigation focus.
• Strong judgment and ability to provide business-oriented legal advice.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to work across time zones as needed.

Nice to have

• Prior in-house experience, preferably in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
• Experience advising on employment matters in Canada or Latin America.
• Experience handling commercial, vendor, or privacy-related disputes.
• Understanding of complex e-discovery issues.
