TL;DR

Business Development Rep (Database): Drive outbound growth by prospecting, researching, and engaging key stakeholders at targeted enterprise and mid-market accounts with an accent on multi-channel outreach, technical first-touch demos, and qualifying leads using BANT or MEDDIC frameworks. Focus on building pipeline in Salesforce with high CRM hygiene and improving conversion through market intelligence and KPI-driven performance.

What you will do

  • Execute high-volume, high-quality outbound campaigns using phone, email, and social, leveraging AI-driven prospecting tools to tailor outreach to customer pain points.
  • Research targeted accounts to identify key decision-makers (IT Managers, DBAs, DevOps Leads) and understand their current tech stack and challenges.
  • Deliver fast, high-impact 5-minute technical first-touch product demonstrations to technical audiences.
  • Qualify prospects rigorously using BANT or MEDDIC to ensure meetings handed to Sales have high closing probability.
  • Maintain 100% Salesforce CRM hygiene and submit weekly/monthly pipeline commits while coordinating closely with the sales team.
  • Provide Marketing and Product teams with feedback on recurring objections and emerging market trends.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in SaaS or IT infrastructure.
  • Proven “hunter” mindset with resilience to handle rejection professionally and positively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into value-based stories.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach (or similar sales engagement platforms), and AI-assisted prospecting tools.

  • Technical curiosity about IT monitoring and database management; ability to learn quickly even without engineering background.
  • Strategic territory/account prioritization based on data and research.
