What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, and interpret investment management and employment agreements for portfolio managers.
• Manage fund formation processes, including launching investor-facing products and negotiating placement agent agreements.
• Support strategic transactions, private equity deals, and regulatory matters.
• Partner with senior leadership including the CEO, CIO, COO, and CFO on business-critical legal issues.
• Collaborate with outside counsel and internal business development teams.
• Identify and implement AI tools to optimize legal team workflows.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar admission.
• 4-6 years of experience in investment management or funds practice.
• Superior legal drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage urgent, competing workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
