Senior Security Architect (Cloud Security)

Location: New Brunswick, Canada; hybrid or remote work arrangements available. Must have resided in Canada for at least five years and hold Canadian permanent resident or citizenship status.

Salary: CAD 99,177–132,236 per year, plus eligibility for performance-based incentive programs.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, and design patterns.
• Architect secure solutions across Azure, AWS, applications, data, identity, networks, and hybrid environments.
• Define security controls and review solution designs for compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead threat modeling, architectural risk assessments, security workshops, and cross-functional architecture reviews.
• Advise business, technology, risk, and compliance leaders on secure architecture and emerging threats.
• Mentor engineering and security staff while promoting security-by-design across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8–12+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least five years in architecture-level roles.
• Experience designing and securing cloud, hybrid, and enterprise environments, with Azure, AWS, or GCP experience.
• CISSP and TOGAF or an equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, PAM, RBAC/ABAC, MFA, network security, TLS/PKI, secure SDLC, and threat modeling.
• English spoken and written proficiency is required. Reliability Status Clearance at Enhanced Level B is required, including fingerprinting, criminal record and credit checks.

Nice to have

• French spoken and written proficiency.
• Multi-cloud security, zero trust, cloud landing zones, policy-as-code, and infrastructure-as-code experience.
• SSE/SASE, container supply-chain security, CI/CD security, SAST/DAST/IAST, SBOM, and secure build pipeline experience.
• Experience with enterprise key management, HSMs, encryption, certificate automation, and regulated healthcare or financial environments.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, ransomware resilience, cloud control-plane security, and security automation using PowerShell or Python.
