Senior Cloud Security Engineer (AWS)

Location: San Francisco, New York, or Portland offices, or remote within the United States or Canada.

Salary: US employees: $166,600–$208,300 base; Canadian employees: CAD 157,400–196,800 base, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and define cloud security posture, cyber resilience, and zero trust initiatives.
• Improve the reliability and security of AWS cloud infrastructure with infrastructure and engineering teams.
• Automate cloud security controls to reduce threats, vulnerabilities, and risk.
• Shape AWS architecture around resilience, least privilege, and long-term maintainability.
• Address remote access challenges in a remote-first environment.
• Partner with teams and stakeholders across the company on cloud security, privacy, and compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, networking, information security, or a related field.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and privacy regulations, including NIST CSF, FFIEC, SOX, SOC 2, GLBA, ISO 27018, and PCI DSS.
• Understanding of security practices, troubleshooting, attack vectors, and customer support.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tooling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrated ability and motivation to learn and grow.
