What you will do

• Lead and mentor a squad of ~4 engineers, including senior and full-stack engineers, and own hiring and onboarding.
• Partner with Product and Design to review initiatives, assess feasibility, surface technical risks early, and balance delivery with platform health (tech debt, refactoring, security, governance).
• Own delivery cadence (sprint planning, prioritisation, release quality) and deliver features end-to-end using agile practices, feature flags, tests, and observability.
• Drive architectural consistency and progressive modernization of legacy systems without disrupting delivery.
• Collaborate on AWS infrastructure and improve CI/CD and progressive delivery practices; lead reliability monitoring and observability.
• Improve security posture (vulnerability scanning, pen testing coordination, standards enforcement) and represent the squad in engineering leadership forums.

Requirements

• Experience leading and growing software engineering teams in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong hands-on technical background with the Manage stack or similar: TypeScript, Node.js, React, MongoDB, Postgres, and AWS.
• Proven track record delivering complex, production-grade systems with rigor around quality, security, and observability.
• Ability to work closely with Product and Design to shape initiatives before they reach the squad.
• Comfort influencing architecture across squad boundaries and collaborating with Staff/Principal-level engineers.
• Genuine excitement for AI-first development, including actively using AI tooling in the workflow and leading the team to do the same.
