Technical Lead Manager (AI): Leading the engineering team behind Jurist to build an AI-native contract review experience with an accent on LLM orchestration, document understanding, and end-user trust. Location: Hybrid (San Francisco or New York City). Office attendance is required at least twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Salary: $245,000 – $295,000

What you will do

• Set technical vision and roadmap for Jurist, spanning from user-facing UI to backend AI systems.
• Lead architecture for core experiences including first-pass redlining and obligation detection.
• Own end-to-end quality through evals, benchmarking, and product instrumentation.
• Drive backend decisions for AI orchestration, review state management, and performance.
• Partner with Product and Design to ensure AI outputs are explainable and trustworthy.
• Manage and grow a team of frontend and backend engineers, balancing speed and rigor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience architecting and operating complex production software.
• 2+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience.
• Proven track record of shipping zero-to-one or one-to-scale products.
• Must be based in the US (San Francisco or New York City)
• High agency and strong product instincts.

Nice to have

• Fluency with LLM orchestration, retrieval patterns, and prompt design.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, Docker/Kubernetes, and Google Cloud.
• Experience building user-facing AI products where accuracy and trust are critical.
