Senior Product Manager, Tax Payments and Filing (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; hybrid work with office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week for employees based in designated office locations. The role is actively hiring in San Francisco.

Salary: $184,000–$230,000 per year in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York.

What you will do

• Own the investment strategy and long-term direction for tax payments and compliance capabilities.
• Build tooling, automation, and AI-enabled systems that help process taxes correctly and on time.
• Prioritize initiatives, sequence delivery, and make tradeoffs based on expected leverage and impact.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and CX to validate solutions and align execution.
• Prototype solutions, work deeply with tax complexity, and own outcomes from discovery through delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience.
• Experience owning internal-facing platforms, tooling, or operational systems.
• Track record of building automation, tooling, or system improvements that reduce manual work.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to partner closely with engineering in complex codebases.
• Experience in compliance-driven or highly regulated domains such as financial services, banking, insurance, tax, healthcare, or benefits.
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation, data-driven prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration.
