Hardware Mechanical Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of two days per week from an HPE office in the United States

Salary: Annual base salary of USD 66,800–126,000 in Colorado, or USD 62,900–145,300 in North Carolina and Texas

What you will do

• Design mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling.
• Develop parameters and test plans for tolerances, form, fit, function, shock, vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, fan curves, power measurements, and acoustics.
• Conduct feasibility, design margin, validation, reliability, and empirical testing for new and modified designs.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical and thermal design.
• Contribute to reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low- to moderately complex products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using Creo or other 3D CAD software for mechanical design.
• Experience designing sheet metal and plastic parts, production tooling, and related processes.
• Experience using CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solutions.
• Mastery of English and the local language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
