Mechanical Staff Engineer II

Location: Hybrid in Overland Park, KS; Cleveland, OH; or Rogers, AR

Salary: $65,783–$117,550 per year. Typical new-hire ranges are $69,438–$84,205 in Kansas City, KS and Cleveland, OH, and $65,783–$79,773 in Rogers, AR.

What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations and design basic mechanical systems under the guidance of senior design staff.
• Create system layouts, detail drawings, schematics, and schedules using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Develop heating and cooling load calculations in Carrier HAP.
• Model airside ductwork, air terminals, equipment, waterside piping, pumps, and terminal and main equipment.
• Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and project designs.
• Coordinate project scope, feasibility, equipment needs, and technical information with project managers, architects, contractors, engineers, clients, and equipment representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university, plus 3 or more years of relevant experience; a qualifying master’s degree may substitute for up to one year of experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design, the AEC industry, applicable codes, and standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Prior experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use Outlook and maintain daily timesheets.
• Travel of up to 25% may be required.
