Salary: $67,565.76–$117,483.74 per year

What you will do

  • Provide technical support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Imaging In-Service Engineering Agent team and submarine imaging systems.
  • Design, create, review, and communicate requirements for Technical Data Packages, schematics, diagrams, and engineering reports.
  • Develop test plans, conduct test readiness evaluations, install hardware, and troubleshoot imaging system components.
  • Perform trade studies, finite element analysis, requirements analysis, and engineering lifecycle assessments.
  • Integrate, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware, RF systems, instrumentation, and associated test equipment.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers, Navy stakeholders, government civilians, OEMs, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable Navy experience.
  • One to two years of experience with optical, electrical, or electronic systems.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, and FieldFox.
  • Working experience with Altium Designer, LTspice, OrCAD, SolidWorks, and finite element analysis software such as Abaqus.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, organization, and systems engineering skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance with the U.S. Government.

Nice to have

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • PCB design experience, MATLAB, and Linux-based systems proficiency.
  • Experience with RF equipment, antennas, amplifiers, filters, and signal distribution.
  • Knowledge of the USN SUBSAFE program and policies.
