TL;DR

Senior Sales Manager (Fintech/Payments): Own the full B2B sales lifecycle for Mondu’s Italian market, with an accent on enterprise pipeline management, complex contract negotiations, and consultative selling of flexible payments solutions. Focus on localized go-to-market execution and cross-functional alignment to ensure solutions meet Italian payments architecture, compliance, and customer needs.

Location: Amsterdam area (Hybrid) — regular in-person collaboration at the Amsterdam office is vital.

Salary: €300 per year for team build endorsement; €54 per month towards public transport costs.

What you will do

  • Own, manage, and scale the sales pipeline for Italy together with BDRs, targeting mid-market to enterprise-level businesses, platforms, and digital merchants.
  • Execute a localized go-to-market strategy for Italy and position fintech solutions against local competitors.
  • Lead end-to-end negotiations with Italian C-suite executives, procurement leads, and legal teams, structuring complex commercial contracts.
  • Provide consultative selling and product advisory by understanding payments architecture, checkout friction, and cash-flow challenges.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Risk, and Legal teams across offices to align features with Italian market requirements and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, ideally in fintech, SaaS, payments, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of the Italian commercial ecosystem and how Italian businesses evaluate and decide on payment options.
  • Solid CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce or similar) and experience with tools such as Claude, LinkedIn Sales, and Gemini.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles and close against quarter-on-quarter targets.
  • Location & workplace presence: must be currently based in, or willing to relocate to, the Amsterdam area; regular in-person collaboration at the Amsterdam office is required.
