What you will do

• Underwrite and select new business to produce underwriting profit, including renewal underwriting and related servicing.
• Review submissions to identify exposure and risk, and evaluate terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Use underwriting tools to determine accurate classifications, rates, and premium charges.
• Understand and apply state laws (including cancellation and non-renewal) within the assigned territory.
• Resolve premium audit disputes with assigned agents/brokers and implement corrective measures on renewal accounts as needed.
• Coordinate with underwriting management and product line leaders; market products to producers and participate in audits/underwriting meetings.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization required; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship.
• 3+ years of current underwriting experience in environmental/energy or casualty commercial insurance.
• Demonstrated technical underwriting knowledge with progression of increasing responsibility.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation ability.
• Technologically savvy; proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% when appropriate.
