Continuous Improvement Specialist (Day Shift)

Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States; day shift. All candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

What you will do

• Coach operations leaders, CI coaches, change leaders, and employees in lean manufacturing, daily management, and change management.
• Conduct Gemba walks and improve visual controls, process flow, defect reduction, standard work, and problem solving.
• Develop value stream maps and lean transformation plans using A3s and JDI practices.
• Plan and facilitate Rapid Improvement Events, identify improvement opportunities, and follow up on action plans.
• Deliver training on Kaizen, A3 management, value stream mapping, visual management, lean conversion, and pull systems.
• Build cross-shift best-practice sharing and communicate lean progress across the organization.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of continuous improvement experience in manufacturing.
• Strong technical background in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process development, process improvement, coaching, mentoring, training, and project management.
• Ability to influence change without direct authority and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree with relevant experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Previous PENA high performance culture training for internal candidates.
