Staff Product Manager — AI-Native Developer Platform (Platform Developer Experience)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $188,500–$255,000 per year, with potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define platform-wide product strategy and multi-year roadmaps for Platform Developer Experience.
• Own the 3x Developer Velocity measurement framework, including dashboards and company-level reporting.
• Launch AI-native platform experiences such as MCP servers, natural-language interfaces, and agentic workflows.
• Develop platform capabilities across operational intelligence, cloud abstraction, developer tooling, production reliability, and change management.
• Align multiple platform and business teams, influence without authority, and unblock complex delivery dependencies.
• Communicate platform strategy to executives and developer communities while contributing to prototypes and innersource solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience with platform products at scale.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including VPC, IAM, Kubernetes, service mesh, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of operational data platforms such as data lakes, Athena, or Redshift, including schema design, query patterns, and access control.
• Understanding of AI/ML developer tooling, MCP servers, LLM-powered workflows, agent-based systems, or IDE-embedded AI experiences.
• Experience shipping platform products with measurable adoption and defining strategic measurement frameworks for large engineering organizations.
• Strong systems thinking, cross-organizational influence, communication, and developer-experience expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience with load testing, chaos engineering, DORA metrics, and reliability engineering.
• Experience contributing to innersource repositories, prototyping tools, or personally shipping solutions to developer friction.
• Participation in CNCF, open-source, or cloud-native communities.
