Staff Product Manager, Gen AI

Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. The stated salary range also covers San Francisco, New York, and Seattle.

Salary: $205,600–$257,000 USD annual base salary, with potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Set product strategy and roadmaps based on customer needs, data analysis, and business impact.
• Translate customer and internal-user needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Partner with engineering, design, ML research, data science, operations, finance, growth, and customer-facing teams to define scope and prioritize releases.
• Build instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities for product performance and insight generation.
• Develop business cases and projected ROI to prioritize opportunities and support profitability and growth.
• Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• 4–10 years of Product Management experience in the technology industry, with scope appropriate to the role level.
• Strong business acumen, analytical rigor, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience translating complex technical systems into clear product strategies and working deeply with engineering and data science teams.
• Experience building products from the ground up and scaling them through business growth.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative, engineering, or related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI/ML, data infrastructure, or marketplace businesses.
• Understanding of model training workflows, data labeling, evaluation, and deployment.
• Experience with global payment systems, contributor or gig-economy platforms, or trust and safety domains.
• Experience at high-growth startups or with scaling consumer or enterprise platforms.
