Senior Compensation Analyst (AI)

Location: Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; or Chicago, IL, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $136,000–$160,000 USD in Zone 1; $120,000–$141,000 USD in Zone 2; $106,000–$125,000 USD in Zone 3. Additional bonus, equity, and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Build scalable compensation models for market benchmarking, budget planning, scenario analysis, and data reconciliation.
• Lead compensation analytics, including survey participation, job matching, market pricing, trend analysis, salary structures, and equity bands.
• Create and maintain compensation trackers, dashboards, databases, and reporting workflows.
• Administer merit, promotion, and variable compensation cycles, including planning, award generation, payroll and equity reconciliation, and post-cycle analysis.
• Improve compensation systems and automate workflows using AI and modern tooling.
• Support M&A due diligence, pay-structure harmonization, employee integration, and cross-functional initiatives with People, HRIS, Finance, and Legal.

Requirements

• 5+ years of compensation experience in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets modeling skills with large datasets and quality-assured dynamic models.
• Experience with market pricing, benchmarking, salary structures, and equity bands using tools such as Radford, Pave, or Mercer.
• Experience administering broad-based and variable or incentive compensation.
• Fluency with AI tools and a strong focus on automating analytical work.
• Clear communication, attention to detail, sound judgment with sensitive data, and strong ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with HRIS or compensation systems such as Workday.
