What you will do

• Plan and coordinate pre-construction for new schools and modernization projects, including A/E contracts and bid planning.
• Manage the scope, schedule, budget, and overall success of multiple concurrent school projects.
• Resolve complex planning, design, and construction-related issues and disputes.
• Oversee and monitor the performance of Assistant Facility Development Managers and Design professionals.
• Coordinate with utility and government agencies to ensure timely completion of project phases.
• Perform fiscal management of projects, including verifying contract scope and fees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing the planning, design, and construction of capital projects.
• Must be based in Los Angeles, CA for onsite client delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes.
• Experience with LEED and/or Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) projects.
• Knowledge of CEQA and coordination with City and County agencies for major facilities.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Formal Construction Partnering.
• Professional registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer.
