What you will do
- Design and develop power electronics systems, including battery architectures and DC-DC power conversion for flight vehicles.
- Lead the optimization of power controllers and management systems to ensure stable operation across mission phases.
- Develop battery systems focusing on selection, packaging, thermal considerations, and safety mechanisms.
- Collaborate with avionics, GNC, and flight software teams to integrate power systems with vehicle subsystems.
- Conduct circuit and system-level modeling and simulation using SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Support hardware bring-up, integration, and test campaigns, including root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics design and validation for aerospace or defense systems.
- Strong background in battery systems and power distribution architectures.
- Proficiency in circuit design, simulation, and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Experience with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting in lab or flight hardware environments.
- U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
