What you will do

• Design and implement automated monitoring for data quality, freshness, and pipeline health.
• Own data lineage and impact analysis to prevent breaking changes in production from affecting downstream metrics.
• Administer and structure the Lightdash BI platform to enable self-serve autonomy while maintaining data trust.
• Extend and guard the semantic layer to ensure consistent metric definitions across the organization.
• Govern the Segment event tracking catalog and evolve guardrails for naming and drift detection.
• Ensure data security, privacy compliance, and AI-readiness for internal AI toolkits.

Requirements

• Senior-level hands-on experience in data warehousing, pipeline management, and BI tool administration.
• Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, and Airflow.
• AI-native mindset with daily experience using AI tools for automation, documentation, and anomaly detection.
• Strong automation-first approach to quality and governance.
• Ability to enforce standards and collaborate effectively with engineering and analytics teams.
• Must be comfortable working solo as the first dedicated governance owner.
