Data Science, Finance & Strategy (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $270,000–$345,000 USD.

What you will do

• Own the weekly company metrics update and executive forum, adapting its structure and content as the business changes.
• Define headline KPIs and driver views used by leadership to track business performance.
• Analyze growth across products, customers, channels, and models, identifying macro trends and leading indicators.
• Lead deep dives on executive questions and deliver clear, defensible, data-driven answers.
• Track actual performance against forecasts and explain important variances.
• Partner with Finance, Product, Go-to-Market, Data Science, and Data Engineering to establish consistent measurement practices.

Requirements

• Experience owning recurring executive metrics or business review forums, including their structure, content, and discussions.
• Ability to communicate rigorous analyses clearly to senior leaders and influence business decisions.
• Hands-on experience defining measurement approaches for ambiguous business questions.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with practical experience in data visualization, SQL, Python, dbt, and cloud data warehouses.
• Minimum education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work under the hybrid policy and be present in an office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Finance analytics, business analytics, or data science experience with senior leadership partnership.
• Revenue or growth analytics experience in a usage-based cloud, API, or marketplace business.
• Experience designing evaluations or benchmarks for AI models or products and familiarity with the LLM product landscape.
• Experience with semantic or metrics layers, dimensional modeling, warehouse design, and point-in-time correctness.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS or GCP, data orchestration, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
