What you will do

• Design and develop navigation algorithms for high-speed flight vehicles including inertial and alternative navigation methods.
• Implement multi-sensor fusion architectures using Extended Kalman Filters and related estimation techniques.
• Integrate data from IMUs, star trackers, and GNSS to ensure robust state estimation.
• Collaborate with avionics and flight software teams to integrate algorithms into real-time embedded systems.
• Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate performance under GPS-denied conditions.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop and flight testing to translate results into system-level improvements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in navigation algorithm development and analysis for aerospace systems.
• Strong background in estimation theory, specifically EKF and multi-sensor fusion.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and experience with 3DOF/6DOF simulation environments.
• Familiarity with flight software integration and real-time embedded systems.
