Focus on building and debugging core sensor-domain software stacks, monitoring sensor health, and collaborating across embedded, perception, and localization to resolve hardware/software issues.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain low-latency, robust device drivers and sensor software pipelines for autonomous vehicle sensors and actuators.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for timestamping, filtering, and preprocessing sensor data to remove noise and artifacts before feeding perception and localization.
  • Build and maintain data analysis pipelines to monitor sensor health, detect out-of-spec behavior early, and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with embedded, perception, and localization teams to integrate sensors into the autonomous vehicle platform and debug related hardware/software issues.
  • Serve as the sensor-domain expert by understanding sensor characteristics, parameters, operating principles, and calibration/application nuances.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • 5+ years of production software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Fundamentals knowledge of automotive sensors (Camera, LiDAR, Radar, IMU, GNSS) including principles of operation, pros/cons, limitations, and calibration techniques.
  • Familiarity with ROS (or similar frameworks) and related communication protocols.
  • Experience with Linux networking and debugging network-related issues.
