TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Gamedev): Building and strengthening business relationships to drive revenue across co-development, full game funding, and tool sales with an accent on expanding the network of AAA studios and publishers. Focus on owning the end-to-end BD pipeline, negotiating high-value contracts, and developing strategic growth paths for the company.

Location: Must be living and working in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area (Remote day-to-day, but required to attend local events regularly)

Salary: Base $100k - $130k / year; Target Compensation $140k - $180k / year

What you will do

  • Build and strengthen relationships with studios, publishers, and IP holders to drive revenue across co-dev and tool sales.
  • Own and operate the business development pipeline from end-to-end.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Develop and present business proposals and sales materials to potential clients.
  • Regularly attend industry events in the SF Bay Area and global conferences.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define and evolve the BD strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the games and entertainment industry.
  • Must be based in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area to attend regional functions on short notice.
  • Proven experience closing deals or securing funding worth hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars.
  • Strong existing network within the game industry, specifically with AAA studios and publishers.
  • Experience as a founder or business development professional.
  • Deep understanding of game development cycles, market dynamics, and distribution models.
