Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the Greater Toronto Area, with two days per week in the Toronto office

Salary: CAD 110,000–135,000 annually, plus equity and benefits

hirify.global develops secure medical imaging and records platforms and Conductor, an agentic AI automation platform for healthcare providers.

What you will do

• Support end-to-end Conductor deployments from client kickoff through production go-live.
• Build and extend agentic workflows, custom tools, integration adapters, and transformation logic.
• Develop backend services and integrations using Python and TypeScript.
• Integrate with healthcare systems including HL7 v2, FHIR, DICOM, RIS/PACS, EMR webhooks, and scheduling software.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using logs, workflow state, and system telemetry.
• Improve integration libraries, shared tooling, documentation, and deployment runbooks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and integration layers.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript with experience writing production-quality code.
• Hands-on AWS experience, such as ECS, Lambda, or API Gateway.
• Experience building and debugging integrations with third-party APIs and data systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and maintain a high standard for code quality and client outcomes.

Nice to have

• Client-facing or production-environment experience.
• Experience with workflow orchestration engines such as Step Functions, Cadence, Temporal, or Prefect.
• Fluent daily use of AI engineering tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Copilot.
