What you will do

• Lead high-impact mixed methods research to shape product strategy across clinical and AI-assisted workflows.
• Study real-world workflows of clinicians, care teams, and administrators through interviews and contextual inquiry.
• Identify adoption barriers and trust dynamics to uncover new product opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to translate research into roadmap implications.
• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into compelling storytelling for senior leadership.
• Maintain high standards for research ethics and participant privacy in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of user research experience, including Staff-level leadership of complex programs.
• Proven background in healthcare research, specifically with physician or care team workflows.
• Ability to independently design and execute both qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys).
• Strong analytical skills for working with product metrics and triangulating multiple evidence sources.
• Exceptional synthesis and executive communication skills.
• Must be based in New York City or San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SaaS, EHRs, or technical high-stakes domains.
• Proficiency in SQL, statistical analysis, or advanced survey methods.
• Experience researching AI-assisted workflows and human-AI trust.
