What you will do

• Negotiate and advise on IP, AI, and technology-related contracts including data use, model training, and licensing.
• Support the implementation of enterprise AI governance frameworks, including lifecycle controls and human oversight protocols.
• Track and interpret global AI laws and standards, translating them into actionable policies and training materials.
• Develop and execute IP strategies to support product development and commercialization goals.
• Supervise outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of trademarks and patents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of experts in healthcare, technology, and data science.

Requirements

• JD degree or equivalent education.
• Licensed to practice law in a US jurisdiction.
• 6+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department supporting healthtech and SaaS transactions.
• Substantive experience drafting and negotiating complex licensing and commercial technology agreements.
• Experience advising on the development of AI-driven products within a regulated enterprise environment.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in life sciences, data sciences, bioinformatics, or computational biology.
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
