Senior Product Counsel (AI & Blockchain)

Location: San Francisco, California (in-person)

Salary: $293,000–$325,000 per year, plus a long-term incentive package.

What you will do

• Advise product, engineering, hardware, cryptography, design, and security teams throughout product development and launch.
• Provide product counseling on digital identity, biometrics, agentic AI, blockchain, consumer financial technology, privacy, online safety, and platform governance.
• Assess legal, regulatory, reputational, trust, safety, security, and user risks related to products, features, experiments, and business models.
• Support global product launches across diverse and evolving regulatory environments.
• Draft product terms, disclosures, policies, user flows, and internal guidance materials.
• Build scalable legal processes, playbooks, templates, review frameworks, and self-service resources for product teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product counsel experience, including significant in-house experience with AI, consumer technology, fintech, blockchain, digital identity, or other highly regulated technologies.
• Experience advising across the full product lifecycle, from development and user experience design through launch and ongoing operations.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks covering several areas such as financial services, blockchain, AI, privacy, biometrics, consumer protection, online safety, advertising, and platform governance.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems and balance legal risk, user experience, operational realities, and product velocity.
• Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Ability to work in person from San Francisco, California.
