What you will do

• Lead the receiving and accessioning of specimens and manage requisition data entry.
• Coordinate daily lab tasks and supervise Specimen Processor personnel to ensure quality patient care.
• Develop, train, and implement departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage staff performance through coaching, on-boarding, and corrective actions.
• Participate in long-term laboratory operations planning, including staffing and equipment needs.
• Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Diego, CA (Onsite)
• 4-5 years of experience in accessioning or within a laboratory setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and lift up to 25 pounds.
