What you will do

• Perform nucleic acid extraction from various sample types including FFPE, blood, and plasma in a BSL-2 environment.
• Quantify extracted materials using QC protocols and devices like TapeStation, Qubit, and qPCR.
• Prepare samples for library preparation using both manual and automated robotic liquid handlers.
• Record and track sample processing workflows in real-time using LIMS.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and perform basic troubleshooting in collaboration with support teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and document all system deviations.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a biological discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Must be able to work onsite in Fremont, CA.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-energy environment.
• Commitment to laboratory safety and quality improvement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Hamilton or other robotic liquid handlers.
• Experience with LIMS or sample management tracking systems.
• Knowledge of next-generation sequencing technologies.
