What you will do

• Perform testing of clinical DNA specimens using manual and automated methods in a team environment.
• Follow established SOPs for specimen handling, processing, and reporting of results.
• Document all quality control activities, instrument calibrations, and reagent preparations.
• Identify and report problems affecting test performance and execute authorized corrective actions.
• Ensure proficiency testing is performed identically to patient testing.
• Meet and exceed target workloads with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, laboratory science, chemistry, physical, or biological sciences.
• Must meet CLIA, CAP, and New York State CLEP personnel standards criteria.
• Professional-level mathematical, computer, reasoning, and language skills.
• Availability to work alternative shifts including Morning, Midday, or Evening hours, and weekends.
