What you will do

• Develop requirements for automation controls and safety systems for new equipment.
• Provide controls applications support with a focus on Body shop operations.
• Interpret and apply safety standards (ANSI, ISO, CSA) to projects and programs.
• Evaluate new safety products and support R&D teams in custom application development.
• Conduct risk assessments and validate safety circuits for potential failure modes.
• Support contract service providers in safety management and technical development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Five years of experience in relevant engineering or safety coordinator roles.
• Must be able to report to the local office in Warren, Michigan.
• Expertise in safety standards including ANSI, ISO, and CSA.
• Proficiency in PLC, HMI programming, EPLAN, Ethernet, and Devicenet networks.
• Experience with safety process design tools like g-Comply and g-Risk.
