TL;DR
Desktop Team Lead (IT Support): Leading the day-to-day operations of a Desktop Support Team with an accent on service excellence, technical guidance, and team coordination. Focus on managing incident resolution, device provisioning, and ensuring adherence to IT service standards within an onsite environment.
Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Doncaster, UK (5 days per week)
Salary: £38,000–£42,000 per annum

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and line management to the Desktop Support Team.
- Assign tasks to engineers and ensure service levels are maintained.
- Manage incident, problem, and escalation processes.
- Coordinate service transition documentation and operational handovers.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and training of support staff.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and OS issues while maintaining asset records.
Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week in Doncaster.
- Proven experience in a desktop support environment with leadership or supervisory exposure.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange and SharePoint.
- Experience administering Active Directory or Entra ID.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools like Intune or other MDM solutions.
- Understanding of application packaging, deployment, and foundational networking.
