What you will do

• Design and layout high-performance, high-reliability PCBs for aerospace applications.
• Develop and maintain corporate eCAD component libraries, including footprints and schematic symbols.
• Create detailed PCB layout design files using Altium Designer, including Gerbers and fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to meet design requirements.
• Perform DFM, DFA, and DFT assessments to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Mentor junior layout resources and technicians on best practices and design standards.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted asylum due to export control regulations.
• 5+ years of experience in PCB layout and design within the aerospace or defense industry.
• Expert proficiency in Altium Designer for library and layout development.
• Experience with IPC-6012 Class 3 and IPC-7352 standards.
• Proven expertise in High-Density Interconnect (HDI) board design, including fine pitch BGA and microvias.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, impedance control, and high-power thermal management.

Nice to have

• Advanced certification such as CID or CIS.
• Familiarity with Siemens Valor for DFM/DFA or Siemens HyperLynx for signal/power integrity.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Perl for tool automation.
• Exposure to AI-driven PCB library and design automation tools.
