What you will do

• Coordinate daily with contractors and PMSS staff at the project office in Los Angeles.
• Lead design coordination meetings and track progress against key milestones.
• Review technical design documents for quality, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
• Ensure integration and consistency across various design elements, with a primary focus on tunnels.
• Monitor and evaluate the scenario planning and alternatives development process.
• Identify technical risks and design gaps early to develop effective mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 12 years of overall professional engineering experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in design engineering for transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Must be able to report daily to the project office in Los Angeles, CA.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Master’s degree.
• Experience with Rail (light, heavy, or commuter), Tunnels, and operations & maintenance facilities (OMSF).
• Expertise in conceptual design, scenario planning, and corridor-level alternatives development.
• Strong generalist mindset capable of reviewing civil, structural, and systems designs.
