TL;DR
Sr Systems Engineer (MBSE): Supporting the design, analysis, modeling, integration, and verification of D5LE2 fire control subsystems for the U.S. Navy's strategic deterrent with an accent on requirements management, system architecture, and safety-critical engineering. Focus on developing MBSE models, analyzing interfaces and vendor components, creating security documentation, and identifying opportunities to apply AI to engineering processes.

Location: Hybrid/flex or remote with required travel to the Pittsfield, Massachusetts office once every three weeks; U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $95,384–$105,817 USD per year

What you will do

  • Support requirements, functional, performance, design, trade study, integration, and verification activities for D5LE2 fire control subsystems.
  • Develop and maintain system models and architectures using MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, and DOORS.
  • Perform interface definition studies and analyze vendor products, COTS components, specifications, and technical manuals.
  • Identify system design weaknesses, propose solutions, and contribute to peer reviews and engineering process improvement.
  • Develop system security documentation and support modeling and simulation activities.
  • Plan assigned engineering subtasks, track schedules, and identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles, the system development life cycle, safety and surety principles, and strategic weapons systems.
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS and system modeling tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Developing familiarity with MBSE methodologies and digital engineering concepts.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance are required.
  • Ability to travel to the Pittsfield, MA office once every three weeks is required.
