Systems Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado; hybrid environment with occasional travel

Salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year

What you will do

• Perform advanced requirements engineering, systems integration, verification and validation, and model-based systems engineering.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and technical risk management.
• Develop system architectures and designs and support technical monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Administer baseline definition and maturation in complex development environments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; an advanced relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation and allocation, systems design, integration, technical risk management, and V&V principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and aerospace or defense programs.
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, or similar requirements and systems modeling tools.
• INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification.
• Experience with technical performance measurements, trade studies, Agile methodologies, or Scrum Master certification.
