Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Remote within the United States; primary location Chicago, Illinois, with an additional location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Occasional work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.

Salary: $99,000–$225,000 annualized USD

What you will do

• Create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models across the product lifecycle.
• Perform systems engineering analysis and develop engineering products for DoD and government systems.
• Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architectures using MBSE practices.
• Support design reviews, requirements verification, systems engineering, and program management activities.
• Analyze complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Mentor or supervise employees in company and technical competencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with large-scale DoD weapon systems acquisition missions, systems engineering, and integration.
• 5+ years of experience developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems.
• 5+ years of practical MBSE experience, including technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture.
• Experience with digital engineering tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody.
• Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
• Secret clearance and a bachelor's degree in a STEM field are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter.
• Experience with radar, requirements analysis, and technical risk resolution.
• Experience collaborating with government clients, FFRDCs, and associate contractor teams.
• TS/SCI clearance, a master's degree in engineering, OCSMP certification, or INCOSE Systems Engineering certification.
