Systems Engineer II (Aerospace)

Salary: $94,345.12–$129,724.54 per year

What you will do

• Perform requirements engineering, systems integration, verification and validation, and model-based systems engineering.
• Develop system architecture concepts with Radio Frequency Engineers.
• Lead trade studies, prepare presentation materials, and communicate technical results.
• Conduct system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management.
• Lead smaller project tasks and support larger project components across the system lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to develop engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools and knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with multidisciplinary design and development teams, requirements management, systems design, integration, technical risk management, and V&V.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and perform system modeling and documentation tasks.

Nice to have

• Aerospace and defense industry experience.
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, or comparable requirements and system modeling tools.
• Experience with Radio Frequency and Radar systems architecture, implementation, laboratory development, and testing.
• INCOSE ASEP certification or experience with INCOSE standards.
• Experience with trade studies, technical performance measurements, baseline maturation, or Agile methodologies.
