What you will do

• Serve as the US legal lead for commercial, brand partnership, and marketing matters.
• Negotiate and draft sophisticated agreements, including sponsorships, endorsements, and influencer deals.
• Provide strategic, forward-looking legal advice aligned with growth objectives and risk appetite.
• Manage legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with global legal colleagues in London, LA, and Singapore to ensure regional alignment.
• Operate independently to own critical projects and legal work streams end-to-end.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in a leading law firm or in-house within media, entertainment, technology, or consumer sectors.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and a valid license to practice law in New York or California.
• Extensive experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks including FTC, COPPA, and FCC.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of YouTube channels and advertising on such platforms.
• Familiarity with UK/EU advertising laws and data protection regulations.
