What you will do

• Counsel product, sales, and engineering teams on AI features, consumer protection, advertising, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including technology and vendor contracts.
• Lead privacy reviews and partner on complex data governance matters.
• Support strategic legal initiatives including litigation, intellectual property, and regulatory priorities.
• Build AI-enabled legal workflows and improve internal legal processes.
• Drive legal review of marketing copy, customer-facing disclosures, and go-to-market initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5-7+ years of relevant experience in-house at a technology company or at a law firm in tech transactions, IP, or privacy.
• JD and admission to a state bar.
• Demonstrated interest in AI-enabled products, data governance, and emerging technologies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain English.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and make judgment calls with incomplete information.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS, B2B, or tech companies.
• Familiarity with privacy-by-design, enterprise software, APIs, or cloud technologies.
• Experience advising cross-functional business teams on product or regulatory matters.
